Writing Process
A writing process is a recursive system for collecting information, organizing ideas, drafting, revising, editing, and proofreading for a particular writing situation.
写作流程是为特定 writing situation 反复进行收集、组织、起草、修订、编辑和校对的系统。
Core Sequence
Collect -> Organize -> Draft -> Revise -> Edit -> Proofread- Collect task requirements, knowledge, sources, data, ideas, and citation details.
- Organize around genre conventions, purpose, and reader needs.
- Draft a complete early version without demanding perfection.
- Revise purpose, evidence, content, and order.
- Edit sentence clarity, precision, consistency, and audience fit.
- Proofread surface errors, formatting, citations, and references last.
The arrows do not imply a rigid one-way order. Writing is recursive because drafting can reveal a missing source, and revision can expose a weak organization.
